Watching movies and TV shows enables us to enter into fictional worlds and escape reality. We watch TV when we get home to relax, and we usually have a show we protect the most. However, some TV shows that people refuse entirely to watch because they think it’s terrible, even though they have been highly recommended. We have compiled a list of some TV shows people on the internet refuse to watch.
Once Upon a Time
We all love a fairytale, and we’ve spent most of our lives turning to them for comfort and our children. However, this spinoff is one that people don’t want to watch. Once it had hit seven seasons, there was a notable decrease in storytelling, writing, and value. A forum member wrote, “I had a few friends who were into it, and it always sounded godawful.”
Keeping up with the Kardashians
Wherever The Kardashians are involved, it tends to get people talking. This includes the program. Many people have watched it over the years, but once you get into it and realize what it’s about, it turns heads. Many people on the forum commented that they “do not keep up with the Kardashians.” Another person said, “Me, keep up with them? I don’t even think THEY can keep up with THEMSELVES.”
Glee
There have been a few responses on the forum that they would never watch Glee. It’s a basic story about a group of people in high school who form a band together and call themselves the Glee Club. It doesn’t matter about their reputation, and because of this, many people say that it is an off-kilter, creepy, and dated TV show that they wouldn’t feast their eyes upon.
13 Reasons Why
This TV show is based on the novel by Jay Asher. It is about a young girl called Hannah Baker who ended her life after being bullied in high school and a series of events she could not cope with. However, Hannah leaves tapes and leaves them for those who affected her. One person said, “It does exactly what experts say NOT to do when depicting ending one’s life. I hate how the showrunners pretend that it ‘raises awareness.’ While statistics show a clear increase in teenagers ending their lives after watching it.”
Yellowstone
A person who doubts this program and refuses to watch it said, “I like Taylor Sheridan, but I don’t like this show at all. I’ve seen clips on YouTube, and the characters seem one-dimensional and vile. Way too over-the-top violent. I remember seeing a bar fight scene where after the initial blow was thrown, EVERYONE in the bar started fighting. It reminded me of one of those black-and-white westerns I used to watch on Saturday afternoons when I was a kid. Terrible writing.”
Riverdale
This TV series is based on the Archie comics, and it might have started strong, but as the seasons went on, it let everyone down, including the fans and cast. Riverdale is the focus of the aftermath of the crime scene and how the local high school teenagers live their lives after the event.
The Masked Singer
Certain game shows don’t belong on the TV, and many people agree that this is one of them. The Masked Singer is where celebrities go on stage and wow the judges with unexpected voices. However, the stars must dress up in costumes with masks while the judges guess who is behind the mask. Someone shared, “The Masked Singer looks like a clown car that crashed on the highway. Clowns spread all over.”
Tiger King
There was a massive blow-up of this TV series when it first came out, and everyone was claiming it was the best thing since sliced bread. However, many people weren’t interested and ultimately refused to watch it. It is about exotic animal owners who supposedly owned a non-profit animal sanctuary in Florida. One person said, “I will admit that I attended summer camp at Big Cat Rescue in 2007, long before the feud of Carole Baskin and Joe Exotic populated mainstream entertainment.”
Emily in Paris
This TV series gained a lot of mixed reviews, and even though it has a lot of loyal fans, it also has others hating it, saying that it’s annoying and boring. Emily, who Lily Collins plays, is a college graduate, and she moves to Paris to pursue a career. One person on the forum said, “Emily in Paris always seemed kinda dumb and cliche to me, so I’ve never watched it.”
Game of Thrones
This is one of the most popular TV series ever, but despite this, it has its haters. There were a lot of people who commented on the forums, saying that they avoided the show entirely because of its graphic content. The show doesn’t hide away from medieval times’ gruesome and horrible events, which doesn’t appeal to many people.
