We Are Not Alone
Many people believe the long-held theory that we are not alone. While there is no absolute evidence of life on other planets, people find it hard to believe there is no life elsewhere.
They Are Out There
In addition to believing aliens exist, some people believe creatures like the Lochness Monster exist. There is enormous debate around what the mystical creature is, and if it does indeed live in Scottish Loch, but despite numerous supposed sightings, there is no concrete proof Nessie exists.
Everyone Else is Fake
While people quickly believe the Loch Ness Monster and Aliens exist, they feel some humans are fake. The philosophical belief that we can never know if the person in front of us is natural or a product of our imagination hurts our head to think about. Still, some people delight in spending hours pondering this theory.
We are All The Same
There is an assumption held by many that we are all the same as everyone thinks like them. While many believe this is a creepy thought, others are convinced it is true.
Who Am I?
Being introspective can be interesting, but the philosophical debate about who we are can take over our lives. Some people are consumed with trying to answer life’s big questions, and others accept we are here and move on with enjoying their lives.
The World is An Illusion
Movies like The Matrix leave us thinking we may be stuck in a fake reality generated by computers. While most of us believe this to be the work of an overactive imagination, some lay awake at night pondering whether the world is just an illusion.
Always Look to The Past
It is great when things go well, but we may need to change how we do things as time passes. Some people cannot look to the future and insist that if something has worked, it will work again.
Religious Beliefs
Those with religious beliefs do not require any evidence as they believe that religion ”feels right” and does not require justification. Religious people are so confident in their ideas that they do not contemplate those who rely on science.
What Lies Beneath?
The sea is fascinating and mysterious; some people are so invested in it that they believe some things lurk beneath it. People become obsessed with what lies beneath without objective scientific evidence that there is anything significant to check.
The Great Cereal Question
Some people believe cereals made for children, such as Trix or Cocoa Pebbles, have boxes that are easier to open than general cereal boxes. There is no clear evidence of this, and manufacturers are not letting on. Nevertheless, people are passionate about telling anyone who will hear about the differences.
Keep Looking
People have admitted believing they will eventually tie around if they stand behind someone and look at them long enough. There is, of course, the argument that the persona may have just needed to turn around anyway, but true believers designate this.
Animal Intuition
Pet owners, particularly dog owners, believe their pet understands everything they say. Some also believe that their pet is very intuitive, and they know about things before they even happen.
Bathroom Water is OK to Drink
We need people to believe we should only drink water from the bathroom sink if they are told why. There is no clear evidence of why the bathroom sink water differs from kitchen sink water, but people should never drink it.
Alternate Realities
Quantum physics suggests the concept of alternate realities, but thinking about the possibility of replicas of ourselves is mind-blowing. There is no concrete evidence that such realities exist, but people think about events that happen to us, and we think about what happened in our alternate reality.
“I Know What’s Going On”
Many busybodies in the world believe they know exactly what is happening. Whether thinking they know about the intimate details of people’s romantic relationships or conspiring that the government is working against us, people think their word is gospel without evidence.
Food Tastes Better When Somebody Else Makes It
Some foods, toast and sandwiches especially, always taste better when somebody else makes them for you. There is no evidence of this, but people believe it nonetheless.
Fake News
Fake news is real, as we have discovered through people exposing those trying to lie to the electorate. However, while we know that some information is fake, some people insist that all news is fake and will not believe that any media is telling the truth.
